Back at the Gyoza shop

We paid a visit to the Gyoza shop in Omotesando. A mandatory stop whenever in Tokyo. Tasted just as good as always.

Checking out

We just had our last swim in the nice pool before catching the bus to the airport. Filled with onsen water it keeps 38-40 degrees and has been lovely at night time as well as during the rain showers. Over all a good hotel and a great week. Wouldn't mind coming back.

Churaumi waterpark

Yesterday we had a car for a day and went to Churaumi waterpark, a very nice park area by the sea up north on Okinawa with an amazing aquarium. The photo in front of the main tank where we could enjoy manta rays and other pretty big creatures. Outside we watched a dolphin show and said hello to see turtles and other funny fellows. Weather was good, between the showers, and we could finish off with spending an hour at the beautiful beach.

Raining sideways

Yesterday when we arrived we had 25 degrees and sunshine. Today the heavy rain is coming straight from the side. Apparently we booked the trip just when the rainy season in Okinawa starts. Hope we get to see that sun again before we leave.

Flip flops in Okinawa

Everything went smoothly with the trip and we arrived okinawa around lunchtime today. We've had a lot of sun, been swimming in the sea and tried out the pool area. I couldn't resist the chance of getting my personal flip flops in the local shop here.

Half a house please

I like the Japanese sense of bringing a solution to a problem. Need to tear down half a house to build a parking place? No problem. Don't forget to replace the missing wall with some plastic sheets and you will be alright.

Back to the traffic park

Today we went to hang out in the traffic park again.

Kei was truly excited about the guinea pig.

A bit too late...

catching the last bit of Sakura during a walk along the river in ogikubo. The blossom started early this year and by now most trees has got green leaves mixed with the last remaining flowers. This weekend it's said to be raining and the last flowers will most likely fall down.

Njurrunda runt

Today I finished my first ski race, 22km in Njurrunda, together with JG. It was a good exercise but I am very happy we decided to go the short distance and not the full 44km. Can't understand people doing the 90km vasaloppet, cross country skiing gets quite boring after an hour or so.

Welcome junior

At 19.39 today we got to say hello to Andersson junior 2nd. Mother and son are tired and healthy. Estimated date for birth was 11th of January but this little guy didn't want to wait for the new year. Or rather, he wanted to be out in time for new year celebrations. The statistics reads 3580g and 51cm.

On the top of Stocholm

This weekend on saturday we had a tourist day in Stockholm and took the chance of going up on top of the Stocholm globe, the sky view lift. Don't know why I would come up with such (a stupid) idea considering my fear of hights. On the way up I thought I would end up with a panic attack, but after a while I managed to relax and it was quite all right. We got a magnificent view 360 degrees around Stocholm. Must say it is well worth doing.

Bye for now

Just about to board the flight back to scandinava. Kai doesn't look too happy about that right now. Today it is raining and temperature dropped significantly so the timing seems just perfect for leaving though.
