Last day of mom and dad's visit here in Tokyo and what better way to spend the day than arranging our own hanami picnic. We took the bbq and lots of good japanese beef and went to the Saigoyama park in Daikanyama. This year we were not interrupted by a police officer so we could enjoy the whole afternoon. When I went back to the park with Maki shortly after she told me that we had been sitting next to a big sign stating that it was forbidden to use fire or bbq. Luckily that sign was written in Japanese so we couldn't know better, however it might explain why lots of the people passing by were smiling.
